As a way in which to support our communities during the COVID-19 Shelter in Place order, Redwood Community Services is offering a free webinar focused on supporting the wellness of our children, families and community members.
Participants will be taught the common signs and symptoms of toxic stress and trauma and learn how to recognize it in themselves and others. Having this knowledge will bring awareness and ability to identify and interrupt the progression of stress and trauma to allow successful client-staff relationships and increase staff retention in the helping profession, while working from home.
This training is intended for those that work with children and youth within the child welfare system or are at-risk of entering. This includes child welfare workers, resource parents, youth sports coaches, youth mentors, teachers and volunteers/staff working with this population.
